MANCHESTER - The Vinton-Shellsburg Viking varsity wrestling team traveled to West Delaware High School and Seedorff Gymnasium for the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Sectional Wrestling Tournament and advanced seven wrestlers to the District Tournament in Maquoketa, which is the most wrestlers to advance to the District Tournament since Don Holmes was the Viking wrestling coach in 1971-72.
The Vikings had four Sectional champions; tied for the most since 1970-71.
