Vikettes defeat Trojans 83-15

VINTON - The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikette varsity basketball team (7-3, 1-1 WaMaC West) took on the South Tama County Trojans (1-7, 0-2 WaMaC West) inside Garrison Fieldhouse on Dec. 21 in the last basketball game before Christmas break and stomped the Trojans 83-15, with Alyssa Griffith setting the tone early and often with 20 points.

Sophia Kreutner was just six points behind Griffith with 14 points, Ashlie Meyer and Julia Johnson scored 11 points each, Abby Davis scored 10 points, Kalie Burke had eight, Tess Erickson had four, Peytin Clemensen had three and Brylee Bruce scored one bucket (two points).
Vikettes fall Dec. 20 at Waverly-Shell Rock 43-29

Alyssa Griffith led the Vikettes with 10 points against the Go-Hawks of Waverly-Shell Rock at Waverly-Shell Rock Senior High School on Dec. 20. The Vikettes only scored 29 points which was their lowest scoring output of the season.
