Vikettes defeat Raiders 3-2 (14-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-12, 15-8)

WILLIAMSBURG - The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikette varsity volleyball team (10-8, 1-1 WaMaC West) took on the Williamsburg Raiders at Williamsburg Raiders at the Williamsburg Junior-Senior High School and won 3-2 (14-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-12, 15-8). Junior middle blocker/setter Brylee Bruce led the Vikettes with 24 assists and 0.6 ace serves, senior Aly Smith led the Vikettes with 3.3 kills and hitting percentage of .152, junior Ashlie Meyer led the Vikettes in total blocks with three and senior libero Kate Hyland led the Vikettes in digs with 17.
