Viking sophomore Brady Ortner pinned Jack Ites of Iowa Falls-Alden in Thursday's first round of consolations to advance to Friday's second-round.
Ortner pinned Ites in 1:57 of the first period. He will wrestle the loser of the quarterfinal match between Ethan DeLeon of Sioux City Heelan and Joe Sullivan of Osage.
