News Vinton Shellsburg FFA Members Attend Kirkwood Ag Day

June Bodeker, Aiden Lukaszka, Bridgette Castle, Kenzie Rhinehart, Izzy Graveman, and Kendalyn Appleby enjoyed their experience at Kirkwood Ag Day.

Six members of the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter recently attended Kirkwood Ag Day in Cedar Rapids to explore the many opportunities available within the agricultural sciences programs at Kirkwood Community College. Throughout the day, members participated in hands-on activities and educational sessions that highlighted a variety of agricultural career pathways. Students learned about horticulture sciences, natural resources, and several other agricultural fields while interacting with instructors and current students. The event provided valuable insight into the educational programs and career opportunities available in agriculture after high school. Members gained a better understanding of how agricultural science impacts everyday life and the many ways they can pursue their interests within the industry. The Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter would like to thank Kirkwood Community College for the invitation and for providing an engaging and informative learning experience for our members.
