The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Seeman, Tippet were present, Volz joined via telephone.

Chairman Seeman called the meeting to order at 8:45 a.m. at the Benton County Service Center. Members of the public are invited to join in during open session or watch the livestream at https://www.youtube.com/bentoncountyiowa.

Volz moved/Tippett seconded: To approve the agenda. Tippett, Seeman and Volz voting aye. Motion carried.

Tippett moved/Volz seconded: To approve the minutes of Tuesday, June 23, 2026. All members voting aye. Motion carried.

Tippett moved/Volz seconded: To approve the following EMS claims numbered 257921 through 257928 as follows:

North Benton Ambulance - $75,842.74

Blairstown First Responders-Training - $2,199.00

Belle Plaine Ambulance - $7,693.13

Atkins First Responders - $2,828.64

Hiawatha Transport - $16,650.00

Tippett, Seeman and Volz voting aye. Motion carried.

Volz moved/Tippett seconded: To approve Resolution #26-59, 28E Agreement with Hiawatha regarding EMS Funds. Tippett, Seeman and Volz voting aye. Motion carried.

RESOLUTION #26-59 RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO 28E AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF HIAWATHA FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

WHEREAS, Benton County, Iowa and City of Hiawatha have elected to participate providing emergency medical services;

WHEREAS, Benton County approved the Benton County EMS Trust Fund Policy, establishing the policy and procedures that allow EMS agencies that provide EMS services within Benton County to receive reimbursements; and

WHEREAS, Benton County desires to contract with non-Benton County EMS Agencies to provide transporting emergency medical services within the borders of Benton County:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BENTON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AS FOLLOWS:

To enter into a 28E Agreement with City of Hiawatha for providing Emergency Medical Services within Benton County and can seek reimbursement within in our EMS Trust Fund Policy, effective July 1, 2026.

Tippett moved/Volz seconded: To approve Class C Alcohol License for Kacena Farms effective August 7, 2026 through August 7, 2027. Tippett, Seeman and Volz voting aye. Motion carried.
