Please join us at the American Cancer Society’s Benton County Relay For Life on Sunday, May 31st at the Benton Community MS/HS Track from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

Everyone has been touched by cancer in some way, so everyone has a reason to attend this year’s Relay. Online registration is available for participants, teams, survivors, and caregivers at www.relayforlife.org/bentoncountyia. Anyone is welcome to just show up at Relay and stay as long as possible. A special lap will be held to honor cancer survivors and another one to honor caregivers. Luminaria to honor and memorialize those affected by cancer will be on display and available for purchase. Luminaria can be purchased before Relay by contacting Ev Wiebke at (319)228-8348.

More than just a walk, Relay For Life brings together passionate supporters who embody the American Cancer Society’s vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Here in Iowa, ACS is funding $2.3 million in groundbreaking multi-year studies at the University of Iowa and St. Ambrose University, advancing new methods in detection, treatment, and survivorship. ACS Hope Lodge lodging programs provide free, supportive places to stay close to treatment. Last year, 9 Benton County patients were able to stay a combined 113 nights at Hope Lodge communities in Iowa City and Rochester, MN.
