Et cetera What We're Reading: The Art of Browsing

I'm leaving for a road trip this week, so to prepare I took an hour last week to luxuriously and unapologetically browse our library shelves. My goal? To find a juvenile fiction book, a book recommended by a coworker, and a young adult book. These are three categories on a staff reading challenge we are doing this summer, and it's encouraging me to look at our collection with fresh eyes.

Here are the titles I have packed in my travel bag:

'Scattergood' by H. M. Bouwman
'Go Gentle' by Maria Semple
'Binding 13' by Chloe Walsh

I'll admit, I have already started on 'Go Gentle,' and I added a couple of extra books to my bag just in case one of the titles doesn't work for me. But that is one of the great things about library books; there is no extra charge for taking a few more 💖
