With the stage set, the candy mixed, and the excitement building the 2026 Candy Dash was yet another huge success at the Benton County Speedway.
Christine Rublack the organizer of this fun event, spent time preparing the annual Candy Dash event, with an estimated 1,400 pounds of candy, Before the fun could begin, however, there was one important challenge to tackle: moving it all.
A special thank-you was extended to Chip-Lloyd Miller, who took on the monumental task of moving every single piece of candy and every box of prizes from the basement to the outdoor staging area so everything could be properly mixed and prepared.
While the mountains of candy may be what participants notice first, the real story behind Candy Dash is the community support that makes it possible year after year.
Local businesses, organizations, and individual donors once again stepped up to contribute, helping ensure that children and families will have a memorable experience. Their generosity has become a hallmark of the event and a reminder of the strong community spirit that continues to thrive.
Rublack expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported the event.
With the candy sorted, the thousands of treats ready to go, Candy Dash 2026 was officially loaded and ready for another sweet year of smiles, laughter, and community fun.
Thanks go out to the "Candy Dasher" aka Christine, who makes this such a fun annual event!
