7th Grade Club Volleyball Wins Silver Tournament on Saturday
The 7th Grade Club Volleyball team recently competed in the State Tournament that was held Saturday in Ankeny.
After two tough rounds of pool play the group advanced into the Silver Bracket.
After defeating the SCC Titans in three games, St. Ansgar in three games, BCLUW in three games, they went on to play the NWI Blue team for the top spot in the silver tournament.
After 3 intense games, Vinton-Shellsburg won.
The games started at 8 am on Saturday morning and the Championship game ended shortly after 10 pm.
Girls on the team are Kenna Kurth, Julia Johnson, Tess Erickson, Sydney Walton, Peyton Clemensen, Coach Beth Harting, Maggie Elwick, Ashlyn Murray, and Carmen Henkle.
