Todd Wiley has submitted his resignation from the Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District’s Board of Directors for personal reasons. Todd has served on this board for many years and has been a leader during several major improvements and changes. His knowledge and experience will be greatly missed.

 

An agenda item at its November 19th Board of Directors meeting will be to act on Mr. Wiley’s resignation. When a vacancy occurs, the school board has the option to call for an election or to appoint someone to fill the remainder of the term created by the resignation. A decision will be made at the November 19th meeting as to which of these options the Board will follow. Regardless of how the person is selected, the position will be up for election in September 2013.

 

The new director will need to reside in Director District #1 which is the former Vinton School District.
