Proposed new look for McDonald's.

New technology, menu items and level of service enable a more fun and modern guest experience

Beginning in April 2019, Vinton McDonald’s began construction on a major remodel project. The goal of this project is to deliver a new and unexpected experience for our guests, with a new level of choice, engagement and service. These changes are reflective of a new restaurant model that has been successfully implanted in more than 7,000 McDonald’s restaurants in the US. These changes put more choice and control in the hands of guests by evolving how and what they order, how they pay, and how they are served.

For customers looking to order at their own pace, Vinton McDonald’s new digital self-order kiosks will make ordering and paying for a meal easy. Kiosks will empower guests to browse the menu, find new options, and tailor their meal just the way they want. Among the new menu options Vinton McDonald’s will bring to customers are a full lineup of McCafé Beverages, including hand crafted lattes, macchiatos, and mochas. Soifer Family McDonald’s owner/operator Scott Soifer commented, “We are excited with this remodel to be able to move equipment and infrastructure around to be able to add espresso equipment and the full McCafé lineup McDonald’s is known for, including seasonal offerings.”

The upcoming remodel will also allow guests who choose to dine in have their meals delivered to their tables by McDonald’s crew members, giving them the chance to relax and enjoy a more custom dining experience. In addition, Drive-Thru customers will enjoy an enhanced experience with new Digital Menu Boards- giving an easier and faster ordering experience, while assisting with order accuracy.

Soifer Family McDonald’s are owned and operated by Scott and Lisa Soifer of Charles City, IA. Scott is the 2nd generation in his family to operate McDonald’s restaurants. Soifer Family McDonald’s began with Sam and Barbara Soifer; Sam started as a grillman with McDonald’s in high school and Barb worked as a bookkeeper for McDonald’s while attending college. In 1978, after progressing with their McDonald’s careers, they opened their first restaurant in Charles City, IA.

Vinton’s McDonald’s was opened in 2004 by Jim Freyberger; upon his retirement from the McDonald’s franchise in 2012, it was purchased by Scott Soifer and joined the Soifer Family McDonald’s organization. Today, Soifer Family McDonald’s 12 restaurants reach into the Vinton, Charles City, Cedar Falls, Waverly,

Independence, Oelwein, Iowa Falls, Hampton, Center Point, and New Hampton communities with a hardworking and growing crew.
