The Old Creamery Nature Trail held its first ever Poker Run on
Saturday, August 7.

The event was a great success!  A total of 42 people registered
for the Poker Run and participated.  This is not counting the many
volunteers who assisted in making sure the trail was in as good of
order as possible or helped with the event in one way or another.
Over $600 was raised for the OCNT and all of this money will go back
into the upkeep, maintenance, or upgrading the trail.

Two impressive poker hands were collected during the day.  Jennifer
Hancock picked a hand with four of a kind and selected the DVD player
as her prize.  Brandon Hill drew a full house during his trip and won
the Classic Bicycle.  Participants came from Vinton, Garrison, Dysart,
Washburn, Traer, Waterloo, Alburnett, Mt. Auburn, and Fort Dodge.

The Old Creamery Nature Trail committee would like to share their
appreciation for all those individuals and businesses who donated
time, money, and/or items to make this event a success!  Stay tuned
for future trail events.
