By Franki I learned that Veterans can be young or old to serve. You should always respect Veterans because they served our country.

About Veterans Day

By Jacob Tharp My grandpa is a veteran.

What thought about yesterday's Veterans Day assembly

By Vinton Today · November 12th, 2013
By Mackenzie At the assembly I learned that the sheepdog is someone that wants to protect the country and has a wanting for war. A sheep wants to protect the country and does not want to have a war. A dog has a craving for war and does not care about the country and just wants to fight. I also learned that the soldiers have to serve for six years or you have your military right taken away forever.

Veterans Day

You should respect them no matter what because, they served for your freedom and the U.S's freedom. I heard many different stories from veterans; each was very exciting and interesting. I am so grateful that there are so many people fighting for my country. That is what I learned about Veterans Day.

What I learned during the Veterans Day assembly

This is what I learned about Veterans Day. Veterans can be young and old. However you respect them no matter the age. They did services to protect us and our country. So we should always show respect. Especially family members of those who passed while serving. That is what I learned about Veterans Day.

By Haley I learned that there is always a empty chair at one of the veterans meeting. We got to see a veteran put a p.o.w ./m.i.a flag on the empty chair.

What I thought about the veterans day assembly yesterday is that it was very good. Thank you to all the veterans who fought or are fighting in war to serve our country. I had a veteran in my family. He was my great grandpa. Thanks again veterans.

What I leaned from the Veterans Assembly

By Brooke Thomsen · November 12th, 2013
I leaned that there are a lot of veterans and some of the veterans are still serving.

Veterans Day

By Jayden · November 12th, 2013
I think Veterans Day is a wonderful holiday because it honors the people who died for us and who are still fighting for us no matter what part of the Army they are in. I think the veterans assembly is a good way to honor vets but I think they need to make it a bit more interesting by maybe having a few little kids act out a part of an important war.

How safe I feel in school

By Vinton Today · November 12th, 2013
By Kiley I feel safe in school because they won't let you go home with someone unless the parent says that it is okay, and there are cameras watching us and we do fire and tornado drills just in case one happens so we know what to do and so we are safe if one does happen.
