Vinton Public Library Hosts Pumpkin Decorating Contest, click story for details!

The Vinton Public Library is hosting its first annual "Spooktacular Pumpkin Contest." Please bring to the library your decorated pumpkin beginning Monday, October 21. The contest will close on Halloween at which time the pumpkins will be on display outside the library from 5 - 7 pm in addition to treats (and maybe even some tricks.) Participants may decorate by painting, carving or anyway their imagination takes them. We welcome participants of every age to join in the spooky spirit of Halloween.

In addition, prizes will be awarded. Votes can be cast daily with a kernel of corn provided at the desk in support of this contest. One kernel per day allows for one vote per day but voting can be done each day during the contest.

The library looks forward to decorating with the creative pumpkins and don't forget to come and cast your vote for your favorite.
